Pearly Queen

I used to hate pearls when I was younger. They always made me think of old women and badly dressed brides in meringue-like dresses. But as I've grown older I've grown to love them, and now most of my favourite jewellery is pearl encrusted. This is possibly why this over the top offering from Valentino caught my eye. Covered in faux pearls and trimmed with leather, it's probably not worth the $1,975 that's being asked for it, but it would look pretty with all this season's Victoriana!
