I don't need to tell anyone about the terrible effects of Hurricaine Katrina on residents of the Gulf Coast. People are desperate for aid, which is why a bunch of very generous crafters and small businesses have got together to create 'Crafters United'. Loads of talented indie designers have donated goods to be sold on Craft Revolution's Etsy shop, with proceeds going towards the Red Cross' hurricane relief effort. After exceeding their initial expectations, the target is now to raise $20,000. Generous sales and donations mean they' ve already got over $18,000 of that. Now it's time for Bag Lady readers to dig deep into their pockets and help blast yet another target out the water. You can purchase everything from jewellery pieces like those shown above (Tami DeSchepper double flower earrings $25 and Hellkats LA Horseshoe pendant $30) to bikini tops, tote bags and plush toys, and it's all for a very good cause. Go on, have a heart!
