I've fallen in love with wicker handbags. And even though I know from past experience that they're not as practical as they seem (I wear a lot of sheer fabrics and they snag constantly), I can't help but find myself coveting the Salvatore Ferragamo wicker bag (left). But at $1,080 it's slightly out of my price range. So it's a good thing Urban Outfitters have been on the case. Their straw doctor's bag (right) is eerily similar and a much more purse-friendly $48.

For those of us who are even bigger cheapskates, there are loads of vintage ones on eBay and some of them are really quite cute. I just bought one with bamboo ring handles which I'm going to update with a silver sequin applique. Voila! Right on trend for under 20 bucks.
